Below is the breakdown of the technology behind your view.


A. VUE-HD™ Polarization Technology

Applicable to: The Navigator, The Structure Series

Light reflects off surfaces like water, snow, and asphalt, creating blinding horizontal glare. Standard tinted lenses just make everything darker. VUE-HD™ Polarized Lenses act as a microscopic venetian blind, blocking 99% of this horizontal visual noise.

  • The Benefit: Enhanced contrast, true color perception, and reduced eye strain during long drives or outdoor adventures.
  • The Tech: We use high-grade TAC (Tri-Acetate Cellulose) polarization films, sandwiched between protective layers to ensure stability and clarity.

B. UV400 Spectrum Defense

Style should never compromise safety. Every pair of VUE sunglasses comes standard with UV400 Protection.

  • How it works: Our lenses are engineered to block 100% of harmful UVA and UVB radiation (wavelengths up to 400 nanometers).
  • Why it matters: Long-term exposure to UV rays contributes to eye aging. Our lenses provide a comprehensive shield for your eyes and the delicate skin surrounding them, whether it's a cloudy day or high noon.

C. Impact-Resistant Architecture

For our active lines, we utilize Polycarbonate (PC) and TR90 materials. Originally developed for aerospace applications, these materials are renowned for their high strength-to-weight ratio.

  • Safety: While no lens is completely unbreakable, our PC lenses are up to 10 times more impact-resistant than plastic or glass alternatives, meeting strict safety standards for debris protection during cycling or running.
  • Comfort: Experience featherlight comfort. You’ll barely feel them on your face, allowing for peak performance without distraction.

D. Multi-Layer Coating System

Our lenses aren't just a single piece of material; they are a complex stack of treatments designed for longevity and performance.

  • Scratch-Resistant Layer: A hard coating applied to both sides of the lens to minimize micro-scratches from daily wear and tear. (Note: Please use the provided microfiber cloth for cleaning to maintain this layer.)
  • Hydrophobic Coating: (On select sport models) Repels water droplets and sweat, ensuring your vision stays clear even when the intensity rises.
  • REVO Mirror Finish: (On "The Chromatic" & Sport Series) A multi-layer vacuum coating that reflects excess light and adds a futuristic aesthetic without distorting color.

E. Adaptive Photochromic Lenses

One Lens. All Conditions.

Applicable to: Specific Driving/Sport SKUs

Our Smart-Transition lenses contain light-sensitive molecules that react to UV intensity.

  • Indoors/Night: The lenses remain clear or lightly tinted to maximize visibility.
  • Outdoors/Sun: Upon exposure to UV rays, the molecules expand and darken the lens within seconds.
  • The Result: Seamless adaptation from the garage to the highway, eliminating the need to switch glasses.

⚠️ Care & Maintenance

To preserve the optical quality of your VUE lenses:

  • Always store them in the provided case.
  • Never clean lenses with paper towels or clothing (which can grind dust into the coating).
  • Avoid leaving sunglasses on the dashboard of a car in extreme heat, as this can damage the polarization film.
