📐 VUE STUDIO: The Art of Fitting
At VUE, we view eyewear as architecture for the face. The perfect frame isn't just about covering your eyes; it's about creating balance, contrast, and proportion.
Finding your signature shape comes down to one simple rule: Contrast. If your features are round, go angular. If your features are sharp, go soft.
Identify your face shape below to discover your perfect geometric match.
A. The Round Face

Soft curves, similar width and length, no sharp angles.
- The Mission: Add definition and structure. You want to lengthen the face and create angular contrast.
- The Strategy: Avoid round frames. Go for sharp, geometric lines that "cut" through the softness.
-
VUE Recommends:
Rectangular & Square: Look for our "The Block Series" or "The Cyber" collection. The chunky corners provide the structure you need.
Wayfarer Styles: Classic structured frames add instant definition.
B. The Square Face

Strong jawline, broad forehead, square chin.
- The Mission: Soften the edges. You have strong natural architecture; the goal is to balance the sharpness with curves.
- The Strategy: Avoid boxy frames that mimic your jawline. Opt for rounded or oval silhouettes to create a harmonious counterbalance.
-
VUE Recommends:
Round & Oval: The "The Candy Series" (Retro Oval) is your best friend.
Aviators: The soft teardrop shape of "The Navigator" softens a strong jawline perfectly.
Rimless: "The Phantom" series reduces visual weight and softens the overall look.
C. The Heart Face

Wide forehead, high cheekbones, narrow/pointed chin.
- The Mission: Balance the width. You want to draw attention downward or elongate the top without adding bulk.
- The Strategy: Mimic the natural lift of your face or go for "bottom-heavy" styles.
-
VUE Recommends:
Cat-Eye: A geometric Cat-Eye from "The Wild Series" accentuates your natural lift.
Light-Colored Frames: Translucent frames (like our Champagne or Crystal Blue) prevent the top half of your face from looking too heavy.
Rimless: Minimalist styles work beautifully to highlight your cheekbones.
D. The Oval Face

Balanced proportions, slightly narrower chin than forehead.
- The Mission: Have fun. You possess the "Universal Canvas."
- The Strategy: Almost every frame works for you. Your main focus should be on scale (size) rather than shape. Ensure the frame isn't significantly wider than your face.
-
VUE Recommends:
Experiment: Try the bold "The Chromatic" series or the oversized "The Structure" frames.
Trends: You are the perfect candidate for daring, avant-garde styles.
E. The Diamond Face

Narrow forehead and chin, widest at the cheekbones.
- The Mission: Highlight the eyes and soften the cheekbones.
- The Strategy: Frames with detailing on the brow line or distinctive top rims work well to draw the eye upward.
-
VUE Recommends:
Oval & Cat-Eye: Curves help soften the angular cheekbones.
Semi-Rimless: "The Velocity" sport series works great by keeping the focus on the upper face.
📏 Size Matters: The "Golden Fit" Rule
Apart from shape, the fit is crucial for comfort and aesthetics.
- Eyebrows: Ideally, the top of the frame should follow your brow line but not completely cover it.
- Smile Test: The frames should not be lifted off your nose by your cheeks when you smile.
- Width: The frame width should match the width of your face at the temples.
